The North Coast Golf Guide is an independent resource for golfers exploring the Lake Erie shore of Ohio — the stretch of Erie County around Huron and Sandusky that most people simply call the North Coast. It exists to answer the questions a visiting or local golfer actually has: which courses are worth playing, how they play, when to come, and how to build a round or a weekend around the lake.
What we cover
We go deep on the region’s best-known public course — the Tom Fazio–designed layout at Sawmill Creek — and we cover the wider scene: nearby public courses, travel and stay-and-play, how to play lakeside golf well, the season, and the post-round meal. The goal is a guide that is genuinely useful rather than promotional.
How we stay factual
Course facts on this site — designer, yardage, par, setting — are drawn from public listings and course history, and we flag that details like rates and scorecards can change year to year. Where we mention a course by name, we do so editorially, the way any travel guide references the places it covers. We link out to authoritative sources such as the Ohio Golf Association so you can verify and go deeper.
